Dressing for Urban Cycling is a Breeze with New Levi’s Commuter Jacket and Jeans
Levi’s classic men’s styles are getting a makeover for the urban commuter cyclist. Both the 511 Skinny Jeans and the Levi’s Trucker Jacket, which was first introduced in 1962, now boast functional features, including u-lock storage, extra pockets, cropped pants, and more. Prices range from $78 – $128 and they are conveniently available at Levi.com. Take a look:
The Commuter by Levi’s 511 Skinny jeans, $78 at Levi.com, has an uber functional utility waist band, which is specially designed to hold a u-lock storage. It also has reinforced fabric in crotch, back pockets, and belt loop for long-term durability. The pants are also available in khaki and there is a cropped version in black for those who want to skip rolling their pant leg all together.
“This product was born from innovation, classic American style and a personal passion for cycling,” says Erik Joule, senior vice president of Levi’s Men’s Merchandising & Design in the press release. “It’s about designing product for people who ride bikes, by people who ride bikes.”
The Commuter by Levi’s Trucker Jacket, $128 at Levi.com, boasts a number of features that make it easier for you to pack up and go. It has reflective tape integrated on to the waistband adjusters, an iPod front pocket holder, rear pockets, a drop tail for additional coverage, accordion sleeves and elongated cuffs. It even has a Sanitized built-in hygiene function, which claims to protect against odors — we’ll let you take the test ride on that one.
