- Beyonce’s Dereon Teams up with Temptu
Celebrities often serve as our style inspiration, but some stars take their fashion interests a bit further. Whether it is designing a clothing or jewelry line of their own (à la Mary-Kate and Ashley’s The Row) or collaborating with fashion greats (à la Kanye West with Louis Vuitton), celebrities are adding their two cents into fashion world more than ever. I couldn’t help but notice that this week’s fashion news was chock-full of the latest on celebrity fashion.
Beyoncé and her mother Tina Knowles revealed that their clothing line, Deréon, is teaming up airbrush makeup company Temptu to release a limited edition line of temporary tattoos. Temptu is responsible for the body art Beyoncé is sporting in the latest Deréon ads, and the Knowles team thought their customers would jump at the opportunity to capture the edgy look for themselves.
Due to be released on November 1, the waterproof tattoo designs include Deréon’s signature fleur, chains and spiders. The temporary tats will reportedly last for four to five days. You can sign up for the Deréon tattoos waiting list now at the line’s website. The Deluxe Edition, available for $34, features a Collector’s Edition Box with all three Standard Edition designs, a poster signed by Beyoncé and a chance to win a trip to New York for a photo shoot and over $500 in products.
Another celebrity fashion partnership was sealed when Whitney Port signed on to create a capsule collection for fashion website Piperlime. Port’s collection Whitney Eve is already available on the site, but the new collection described as “ballerina-meets-urbanista” will be exclusively available on Piperlime. Port debuted the 14-piece collection this week at Piperlime’s pop-up store in NYC.

Whitney’s BFF and former “Hills” co-star, Lauren Conrad is releasing her “Style” book October 5, and to get people excited about its debut, publisher Harper Teen posted the book’s first three chapters online. Featuring photos of LC in some her favorite ensembles, Lauren Conrad’s “Style” also includes advice like how to layer t-shirts and the all-important dressing room strategy. Interested in LC’s Style?
